This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and implement strategies for allocation and inventory management to enhance sales, profitability, and GMROI.
• Optimize inventory investments to meet service level objectives.
• Create strategies and actionable plans aimed at improving inventory management across various locations.
• Anticipate supply and demand for VSP network brand locations.
• Lead and manage inventory functions across multiple sites.
• Offer support to management teams and provide guidance to staff.
• Ensure effective communication within the business unit.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including Merchants, Distribution Center/Central Labs, and Operations partners.
• Oversee store/SKU forecasting with input from Merchandising Planning, Merchants, and Store Operations.
• Formulate and implement allocation strategies that align with forecasted demand, inventory goals, and financial targets.
• Guarantee the accuracy of data transferred through various planning systems.
• Analyze key markets in collaboration with Operations, Merchandise Planning, and Merchants.
• Implement inventory recalls in response to strategic changes in store capacity.
• Ensure that store/practice inventory levels correspond with model assortments and targeted inventory levels.
• Maintain inventory reporting to support key KPIs while maximizing working capital productivity.
• Assist in the deployment of merchandise systems for replenishment.
• Provide SKU-level analytics and insights in collaboration with Merchandising Planning and Merchants.
• Make independent planning recommendations and escalate any risks or trade-offs as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 4 years of progressively responsible experience in a material management role within a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of the ophthalmic industry and familiarity with products, market trends, and conditions is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of forecasting/inventory tools and processes is desired.
• Ability to function effectively in a cross-functional environment and contribute to business process improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
