This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the strategy and implementation of allocation and inventory plans to enhance sales, profit, and GMROI.
• Optimize inventory investments to meet service level objectives.
• Formulate strategies and actionable plans to improve inventory management across various locations.
• Anticipate supply and demand for VSP network brand locations and synchronize demand with resources to enhance the supply chain.
• Direct and manage inventory management operations at multiple sites.
• Oversee store/SKU forecasting by collaborating with Merchandising Planning, Merchants, and Store Operations.
• Create and implement allocation strategies that align with projected demand, inventory goals, and financial targets.
• Ensure the accuracy of data systematically transferred through diverse planning systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 4 years of progressively responsible experience in a material management role within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven understanding of the ophthalmic industry along with current knowledge of products, market trends, and conditions is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of forecasting and inventory tools and processes is desired.
• Capacity to function in a cross-functional setting and contribute to the optimization of business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in carrying out job responsibilities.
