Senior Internal Accountant, Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Manage and supervise Global Accounting: Act as the main point of contact for accounting issues across our legal entities located in Austria, the UK, the US, and Singapore.

• Oversight of Local Reporting: Organize and review the activities of our external local accountants to ensure the precise preparation of local financial statements (similar to Bilanzbuchhaltung).

• Consolidation and Reporting Responsibilities: Lead the creation of consolidated financial statements (Group accounts) utilizing our consolidation tool, Joiin.

• Management of Bookkeeping and Invoicing: Take charge of bookkeeping and invoicing processes across group entities, ensuring accurate transaction documentation and prompt customer billing.

• Integration and Maintenance of Systems: Use your technical expertise to manage and enhance the flow of financial data within our core technology stack: Stripe (Payments), Chargebee (Subscription Management/Invoicing), and Xero (Accounting).

• Improvement of Processes: Identify and execute efficiencies in our accounting processes, particularly concerning the integration points among our financial systems.

• Support for Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist the finance team with budgeting, financial analysis, and various strategic projects as the company continues to grow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Accountant, Group Accountant, or Consolidation Specialist.

• Comprehensive knowledge of international accounting standards and financial statement preparation (equivalent to Bilanzbuchhalter or Konzernbuchhalter experience).

• Proven experience with contemporary, cloud-based accounting systems, especially Xero.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple entities and external stakeholders concurrently.

• Proficiency in English (German is an advantage, particularly for the Austrian entity).

• Practical, hands-on experience with our primary finance technology stack: Stripe and Chargebee.

• A solid understanding of the technical integrations between subscription management (Chargebee), payment processing (Stripe), and the general ledger (Xero).

• Experience utilizing Joiin for financial consolidation.

• Familiarity with BMD software applicable to the Austrian market.

• Background in a fast-paced technology/SaaS environment.
