Senior Interior Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Direct interior design initiatives for mid-to-large scale commercial interior projects.

• Integrate workplace strategy, space planning, materiality, lighting, FF&E, and user experience.

• Create and present design concepts, mood boards, finish palettes, and 3D visualizations.

• Supervise the preparation of coordinated design documentation using Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Act as the main interior design liaison during project execution.

• Manage client expectations while proactively addressing design-related challenges.

• Ensure that designs comply with building codes, accessibility standards, life safety requirements, and sustainability frameworks.

• Work collaboratively with cost consultants and procurement teams on budgeting and value engineering.

• Assess shop drawings, material submittals, and installation mock-ups.

• Guide junior interior designers and coordinators.

• Contribute to PDS design standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing efforts.

• Assist in business development through proposals, interview presentations, and portfolio enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.

• At least 7+ years of professional interior design experience, concentrating on corporate/commercial interiors and comprehensive project lifecycle delivery.

• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, client-interfacing environment.

• Advanced skills in Revit (BIM workflow), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape/Twinmotion, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Extensive knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, sustainable design principles, and global workplace trends.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.

• NCIDQ certification is mandatory.

• LEED AP and/or WELL AP accreditation is highly desirable.

• Experience within an integrated AEC or multidisciplinary consultancy is advantageous.
