Senior Intelligence Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop processing pipelines, information storage systems, and presentation layers that support intelligence analysts and researchers.

• Prototype, construct, and manage Intelligence pipeline systems.

• Create adaptable data integration and processing systems utilizing scalable, distributed architectures.

• Take ownership of software from design and prototyping to implementation, deployment, and ensuring smooth operations in production.

• Document systems and provide training for system users.

• Collect requirements, seek feedback, and validate outcomes with internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with the Intelligence team to gather requirements from Intelligence Analysts and Technical Analysts.

• Sustain both new and legacy systems over the long term.

• Transform vague mission statements into detailed technical specifications.

• Develop systems while making implementation decisions that balance rapid development, scalability, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent academic/work experience.

• Proven multi-year experience in software engineering.

• Experience in building scalable, distributed, and production-grade services.

• Strong proficiency in Linux and container technologies.

• Hands-on coding experience in multiple programming languages.

• Familiarity with SQL and No-SQL database systems.

• Understanding of cloud technologies.

• Capability to maintain and enhance existing Go and Python codebases.

• Ability to convey technical details in a clear, top-down manner to management, customers, and peers.

• Competence to independently make sound, justified decisions and take appropriate actions.

• Skill in planning, organizing, and prioritizing work independently to meet deadlines.

• Experience working within a geographically distributed and diverse team.

• Demonstrated experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive business outcomes.

• Familiarity with the AWS or GCP cloud ecosystem (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, ECS).

• Experience in developing Web UIs, such as Single-Page Applications (SPA).

• Background in creating scalable and well-documented HTTP APIs.

• Experience with malware analysis or software reverse engineering.

• Offensive information security experience, such as from capture-the-flag (CTF) competitions.
