Senior Integration Engineer – Java, Python

📋 Description

• In the position of (Senior) Integration Engineer (f/m/d) at ACCURIDS, you will connect software development with practical implementation.

• Shift from internal product development to a role focused on designing and implementing technical solutions for our customers.

• Stay actively involved in coding while assuming technical responsibility for client projects.

• Convert customer requirements into clear technical concepts and architectures.

• Create and deploy functional prototypes that showcase how our platform addresses specific technical challenges faced by our clients.

• Develop and maintain custom backend extensions to tailor our platform to meet individual customer workflows.

• Write integration scripts and middleware, mainly using Python, to link ACCURIDS with external tools and data sources via REST APIs.

• Facilitate technical discussions with client-side experts (SMEs) to outline requirements and assess technical feasibility.

• Serve as a technical lead for complex issues, utilizing log analysis and debugging to provide reliable, pragmatic solutions.

• Implement features and enhancements in the core ACCURIDS codebase parallel to your client project responsibilities.

• Produce the necessary technical documentation, diagrams, and integration guides for the solutions you develop.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a professional software engineering setting, with expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and Python.

• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and experience managing data-intensive applications.

• Capability to deconstruct complex business needs into a functional technical architecture.

• Comfort in articulating technical details to both fellow developers and project stakeholders.

• A passion for applying your skills within the Life Science sector.

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS), Elasticsearch, or Knowledge Graphs (SPARQL) is advantageous but not mandatory.
