Senior Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess and guarantee the operational efficiency of the applications and ancillary systems within the Digital Platforms.

• Provide support to the DPE (Data Platforms & Engineering) systems and its stakeholders, including Marketing, Insights & Analytics, focusing on subscriber acquisition, campaigns, storefronts (Apple, Google), and data sets.

• Design database schemas, and create stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

• Enhance and optimize reporting queries for improved performance.

• Develop real-time dashboards and reports to monitor platform performance, aiding the client development and backend services teams to achieve 100% system uptime.

• Consolidate data from various sources to create a comprehensive reporting platform encompassing operational, subscriber, and MarTec initiatives.

• Collaborate with both internal and external teams to analyze data within video production and customer purchasing flows, ensuring data integrity.

• Work together on KPIs for the Digital Platforms and Data Engineering teams.

• Deliver requested reports to executives and management.

• Closely interact with functional departments to maintain a thorough understanding of the business and new features that will enhance future data roadmap initiatives.

• Address technical challenges, document issues, and provide guidance to peer engineers.

• Refer related issues to the appropriate departments.

• Assist Customer Care and Application Engineers by supplying data to facilitate troubleshooting and user information.

• Suggest improvements and implement strategies to enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Utilize advanced analytics, statistical techniques, and data models to prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling applications.

• Investigate and analyze data to uncover hidden patterns.

• Identify opportunities for acquiring new data.

• Mentor colleagues across the organization on data products, including Analysts, Developers, QA, and Junior Engineers.

• Establish processes and create documentation for data and system access.

• Ensure legal, compliance, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protections are implemented.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5 years of progressively responsible experience post-baccalaureate as an Integration Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Analyst, or in a related role.

• Alternative Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field + 3 years of experience as an Integration Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Analyst, or in a related role.

• Experience in full software development life cycles, including requirement gathering, documentation, development, design, testing, and deployment of business intelligence solutions.

• Proficiency with data warehouse platforms (Google BigQuery, MySQL, SQL Server, Amazon AWS, Snowflake, Oracle).

• Strong background in deep querying and data mining.

• Experience in creating stored procedures, functions, and database administration.

• Familiarity with enterprise business intelligence tools (Tableau and MicroStrategy).

• Knowledge of analytic setup and reporting tools: Conviva and Mix Panel.

• Experience with non-relational databases and mobile (iOS, Android) web, TV, and console technologies (Xbox, PS4).

• Understanding of video performance metrics.

• Proficiency in Web Services and Technologies: SOAP and REST, XML, JavaScript, and JSP.

• Knowledge of programming languages: C, C++, VB, Java, and J2EE.

• Experience with third-party data ingestion, aggregation, and integration related to video production, video playback, and customer purchasing experiences in OTT.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues, manage user information, and track KPIs.

• Experience performing in-depth analysis and generating custom reports to ascertain metrics, behaviors, and key performance indicators of systems.
