This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and address technical obstacles throughout all stages of migration, from initial assessment to post-cutover stabilization.
• Reverse-engineer configurations, workflows, automation, and integrations for cloud migration projects.
• Develop custom tools, scripts, and integrations from inception to completion.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux environments, managing permissions, services, and remote infrastructure.
• Oversee environment variables, startup scripts, daemons, and scheduled tasks.
• Create scripts for migration validation, data cleanup, and operational automation.
• Develop reusable accelerators and utilities to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Engage with REST and GraphQL APIs, extract and transform data, and ensure migration outcomes are validated.
• Confirm data integrity and migration accuracy through SQL validation.
• Design and substitute on-premises integrations utilizing webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven architectures.
• Take ownership of technical solutions and execution for Atlassian engagements.
• Assist with Atlassian migrations using JCMA and CCMA tools.
• Assess and mitigate risks related to scalability, data integrity, performance, compliance, and user experience.
• Plan and implement phased migrations, testing migrations, cutover strategies, and rollback plans.
• Convert technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs into actionable guidance.
• Manage the technical narrative from readiness assessments to post-migration evaluations.
• Aid in pre-sales assessments, solution design, estimates, and proposals.
• Contribute to migration methodologies, accelerators, and the internal knowledge repository.
• Mentor consultants and share insights gained across the practice.
• Extensive practical technical experience in enterprise settings.
• Proven client-facing consulting experience.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows systems administration, including permissions, services, startup processes, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SSH and remote infrastructure management in hybrid or cloud environments.
• Skill in building, consuming, and debugging REST and GraphQL API integrations.
• Ability to write functional code in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar programming languages.
• SQL experience to validate data integrity throughout migrations.
• Capability to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Direct experience with Atlassian products, including administration and configuration of Jira, Confluence, or Jira Service Management.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud migrations and knowledge of JCMA and/or CCMA tools.
• Atlassian Certified Professional or Associate certifications.
• Experience with identity and access management, including SSO, SAML, and SCIM.
• Background in regulated or compliance-oriented environments.
• Experience with OAuth, webhooks, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Familiarity with GraphQL tools such as Postman or Insomnia, or API gateway configurations.
