Senior Inspection Engineer – EPC Phase

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Develop and review engineering documentation pertinent to the Inspection Department during the EPC phase (such as Baseline Inspection documents and RBI requirements).

• Evaluate Vendor documentation associated with the Inspection section of purchase orders (ITPs) and inspection results (FAT, SAT, Baseline reports).

• Oversee activities performed by other service providers.

• Ensure adherence to international standards (including API, ASME, ASTM), project-specific procedures, and local regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with Maintenance Departments to guarantee that CMMS databases accurately represent contractual arrangements.

• Engage in RBI assessment studies, contributing expertise on effective inspection techniques.

• Coordinate with various departments (Engineering, Commissioning, Fabrication, Maintenance) to ensure the overall operational readiness of projects.

• Confirm that all required activities are conducted within budget and schedule constraints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or a related field).

• Demonstrated experience as an Inspector or Inspection Engineer during operational phases (brownfield experience).

• At least 5 years of combined experience (EPC + Operational) for Inspection Engineers; a minimum of 10 years for Senior Inspection Engineers.

• A minimum of 2 (two) API core certifications (API 510 / API 570 / API 653).

• API 580 qualified or at least 5 years of proven experience in conducting RBI Assessments.

• Preferred: API 571, CSWIP/AWS certifications.

• Strong technical expertise in international codes and standards, RBI methodology, damage mechanisms, materials, baseline inspections, and in-service inspections.

• Familiarity with CMMS (SAP, Maximo, or equivalent).

• Knowledge of IDMS systems (Antea, Nexus, APM Meridium, or equivalent).
