R&D Engineer, Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and develop cutting-edge solutions that will influence the future trajectory of Broadcom.

• Collaborate within a scrum team in an agile development setting, providing an opportunity to engage with various key agile roles.

• Take part in design and code reviews.

• Engage in review sessions for test plans and create automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.

• A BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field.

• Previous experience as a developer on VSE, z/VM, or z/OS platforms.

• Proficient in Assembler programming.

• Knowledge and expertise in one or more of the VSE subsystems, POWER, and CICS.

• Experience in mainframe VSE environments, including z/VM and VSE JCL.

• Familiarity with mainframe VSE programming languages, specifically Assembler and REXX, as well as VSE macro.
