Senior Inpatient Coding Specialist – Full Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for examining and interpreting the documentation found in medical records for inpatient, outpatient, and/or professional services to accurately assign diagnoses and procedure codes as indicated by the physician(s) of record.

• Complies with the Standards of Ethical Coding established by the American Health Information Management Association and follows the official coding guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• A minimum of 3 years of coding experience in ICD-10-CM diagnoses/procedure coding and HCPCS/CPT procedure coding within acute care inpatient/outpatient hospital or professional services environments.

• Must possess a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) credential, or be in the process of obtaining one within 6 months of employment.

• Proficient knowledge and extensive experience with ICD-10-CM and/or CPT/HCPCS coding classification systems, MS-DRG's, APC's, MPFS/RVU's, POA's, and HAC's.
