Senior Infrastructure Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, plan, and execute intricate IT projects.

• Ensure that projects are completed following industry best practices.

• Lead the technical onboarding process, conduct discovery, and perform environment assessments for new clients.

• Standardize client environments to align with Managed Service Provider (MSP) best practices.

• Develop scopes of work, estimates, and project work plans.

• Implement projects in accordance with approved plans and standards.

• Monitor project progress, hours, and scope adherence.

• Design and carry out network, server, cloud, and migration projects.

• Maintain precise project documentation, diagrams, and ticket notes.

• Proven experience in the field.

• Strong capability in technical execution.

• Responsible for project design, documentation, timelines, and budgets.

• Ability to serve as the technical lead from onboarding to the transition to steady-state support.

• Familiarity with MSP best practices, including M365, Azure AD, Active Directory, security, backups, and monitoring.

• Competence in ensuring environments are thoroughly documented and integrated into internal systems.

• Capability to mentor junior engineers during project execution.

• Ability to provide insights on recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
