This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with platform leadership to advance the internal developer platform towards an AI-centric model.
• Convert strategic objectives into practical and scalable implementations.
• Influence platform capabilities through direct engineering and technical contributions.
• Design and deploy self-service infrastructure systems that simplify cloud complexities.
• Create APIs, CLIs, and developer-oriented tools that facilitate infrastructure provisioning without necessitating deep cloud knowledge.
• Introduce AI-driven interfaces (CLI, chat, UI) for provisioning, debugging, and operational tasks.
• Design, construct, and manage secure, multi-tenant Amazon EKS clusters.
• Contribute to platform architecture, scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Apply best practices for policy, networking, and workload isolation.
• Develop systems that interpret infrastructure signals (logs, metrics, events) and deliver actionable insights.
• Create AI-assisted workflows for incident triage, root cause analysis, and runbook generation/execution.
• Facilitate human-in-the-loop automation for safe and controlled remediation.
• Develop platform SDKs, CLIs, and service templates that standardize infrastructure consumption.
• Contribute to AI-powered copilots and assistants to enhance developer productivity.
• Enable natural language interactions with platform services where applicable.
• Implement reusable infrastructure patterns and set clear defaults.
• Integrate security, scalability, and compliance into platform tooling.
• Extend Infrastructure as Code practices (e.g., OpenTofu) with abstraction and validation layers.
• Implement logging, metrics, and tracing across platform systems.
• Utilize AI to identify anomalies, summarize system behavior, and highlight actionable insights.
• Contribute to systems that transition from visibility to guided actions.
• Participate in platform instrumentation and feedback loops.
• Use data and developer feedback to enhance usability, performance, and adoption.
• Continuously improve platform capabilities based on practical use.
• Collaborate closely with application teams, SREs, and security engineers.
• Promote platform adoption through effective technical collaboration.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to engineers as needed.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Demonstrated experience in building or contributing to internal developer platforms.
• Extensive knowledge of Amazon Web Services, particularly EKS, IAM, and networking.
• Proficient programming skills (Python or Go), with a background in developing production-grade tools and services.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience or keen interest in integrating AI/LLMs into developer or operational workflows.
• Familiarity with APIs from providers like OpenAI or similar.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and their significance in intelligent automation.
• Capability to design adaptive, feedback-driven systems instead of static workflows.
