Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the infrastructure and pipelines that support Fluxx’s grants management software for philanthropy.

• Design, deploy, and secure infrastructure while contributing to the technical direction.

• Lead initiatives in CI/CD, delivery and orchestration, monitoring, and logging.

• Automate operational processes and infrastructure using infrastructure as code and standardized tools.

• Manage CI/CD pipelines, image builds, and GitOps deployments utilizing ArgoCD.

• Ensure the fleet is patched and up-to-date, including OS updates, Kubernetes, and managed-service upgrades.

• Create monitoring and alerting systems that identify issues before they affect customers.

• Collaborate with the security team to safeguard systems and customer data, ensure SOC 2 compliance, and address security findings.

• Develop self-service tools for Engineering to minimize bottlenecks and dependencies.

• Work alongside engineering teams to enhance the reliability, security, and scalability of services.

• Engage in the production-systems on-call rotation as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional experience in software development and infrastructure operations.

• Extensive experience managing Kubernetes in production environments, including the creation of manifest templates for services, deployments, and other application components.

• Significant proficiency in writing and utilizing Terraform code for deploying production infrastructure on AWS.

• Comprehensive experience overseeing the full lifecycle of AWS services such as EKS, RDS, Elasticsearch, and WAF, including version upgrades, scaling, and failover.

• Knowledge of Azure and cross-cloud infrastructure.

• Experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) to enhance development workflows and serve as a force multiplier.
