Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance Duna's platform, which includes AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.

• Establish security defaults by implementing least privilege principles, managing secrets, and ensuring tenant isolation.

• Automate controls and evidence for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.

• Transform repetitive operational tasks into widely adopted self-service systems, such as preview environments and internal access.

• Facilitate the safe application of AI agents in engineering through the use of sandboxes, guardrails, and human checkpoints.

• Assume responsibility for incidents and enhance systems post-incident.

• Contribute to Duna's infrastructure as part of its identity platform for the global economy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on experience with AWS or similar technologies.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes.

• Skilled in infrastructure as code.

• Familiar with CI/CD practices.

• Knowledgeable in observability techniques.

• Genuine security engineering expertise, including principles of least privilege and auditability.

• Comfortable navigating enterprise IT environments, including certifications, customer security reviews, identity management, and device management.

• Capable of operating with high agency in uncertain situations.

• Demonstrates pragmatic judgment regarding when to reinforce, simplify, or maintain existing systems.

• Inquisitive about the influence of AI on software development and operations.

• Relevant familiarity with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Node.js, TypeScript, and event sourcing is preferred; prior experience in all areas is not mandatory.

• Must reside within Europe, as indicated by the required application question.
