Senior Information Security Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Safeguard electronic information and infrastructure against both external and internal threats.

• Administer and configure security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.

• Examine logs for any signs of intrusion or attacks.

• Supervise and assist in the daily operations of security systems.

• Track security incidents and alerts.

• Perform regular security assessments, audits, and risk analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in information security, network security, or systems administration, with practical experience in managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPN, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.

• Thorough understanding of network security and protocols, along with traffic capturing and protocol analysis.

• Practical experience in the implementation, configuration, and management of security enterprise infrastructure.

• Familiarity with information security governance.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Foundational certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience are preferred for minimum qualification.
