Senior Informatica IDMC Migration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Migration Delivery — Axon, EDC & IDQ to IDMC/CDGC/CDQ

• Perform migration assessments from on-premises Informatica Axon Data Governance, Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and IDQ to the IDMC cloud platform.

• Carry out the migration of catalog source configurations and enrichments from on-premises EDC to CDGC utilizing AI-enabled tools and accelerators for domain and subdomain schema creation, glossary associations, business names and descriptions, data classifications, custom attributes, certifications, ratings, and stakeholder assignments.

• Transfer Axon and EDC enrichments to CDGC assets, including glossary associations, business names and descriptions, data classifications, custom attributes, certifications, ratings, and stakeholder assignments.

• Implement the migration of EDC metadata sources, recognizing that there is no direct automated migration path from EDC to CDGC; this will necessitate phased manual and tooling-supported approaches, leveraging AI assistance tools.

• Transition legacy IDQ data quality rules and specifications to corresponding CDQ Rule Specifications within IDMC.

• Incorporate CDQ data quality transformations within CDI mappings to route records into the on-premises MDM hub.

• Execute post-migration validation, UAT, and knowledge transfer to client teams.

• Provide post-deployment hyper-care, issue resolution, performance tuning, and knowledge transfer handover to client teams.

• Ensure the quality of delivery and timely accomplishment of project milestones.

• Conduct migration assessments from on-premises Informatica Axon Data Governance, Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and IDQ to the IDMC cloud platform.

• Execute migration of catalog source configurations and enrichments from on-premises EDC to CDGC using AI-enabled tools and accelerators for domain and subdomain schema creation, glossary associations, business names and descriptions, data classifications, custom attributes, certifications, ratings, and stakeholder assignments.

• Migrate Axon and EDC enrichments to CDGC assets, including glossary associations, business names and descriptions, data classifications, custom attributes, certifications, ratings, and stakeholder assignments.

• Implement the migration of EDC metadata sources, acknowledging that there is no direct automated migration path from EDC to CDGC; this requires phased manual and tooling-assisted approaches, utilizing AI assistance tools.

• Transition legacy IDQ data quality rules and specifications to equivalent CDQ Rule Specifications within IDMC.

• Embed CDQ data quality transformations within CDI mappings routing records into the on-premises MDM hub.

• Perform post-migration validation, UAT, and knowledge transfer to client teams.

• Provide post-deployment hyper-care, issue resolution, performance tuning, and knowledge transfer handover to client teams.

• Ensure delivery quality and timely execution of project milestones.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Informatica Certifications: IDMC Professional or equivalent data governance/data quality certification

• Experience in the financial services industry: Banking, insurance, wealth management, or regulated sectors

• Familiarity with Informatica Claire AI / Copilot: AI-powered metadata enrichment and governance automation within IDMC

• Key competencies

• Proven track record in migrating from Axon, EDC, and IDQ to IDMC cloud platforms

• In-depth understanding of CDI/CDQ pipelines as the integration and quality enforcement layer for on-premises Informatica MDM domains

• Utilizes AI-enabled tools and accelerators to enhance processes such as domain and subdomain schema creation, glossary associations, business names and descriptions, data classifications, custom attributes, certifications, ratings, and stakeholder assignments, as well as reconciliation during Axon, EDC, and IDQ to IDMC/CDGC/CDQ migration, minimizing manual effort and migration risk

• Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or enterprise organizations with complex data governance and data quality requirements
