This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Provide mentorship and training for junior Industrial Engineers.
• Collaborate with clients to determine business needs, budgets, and staffing requirements.
• Potentially oversee the deployment of analytics applications such as SlotDC, Control Tower, etc., in collaboration with Data Science, Business Intelligence (BI), IT, and Operations teams.
• Partner with Data Science, BI, and Marketing teams to create necessary marketing materials.
• Educate Operations teams on the utilization of various BI and Analytics applications/models.
• Develop reporting tools that serve as a storytelling mechanism, enabling stakeholders to quickly grasp insights and take action.
• Spearhead the integration of the Labor Management System (LMS) with Warehouse Control System (WCS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Formulate best practices and initiatives for cost reduction.
• Collaborate closely with Customers and Kenco Operations to fulfill project outcomes.
• Monitor the value generated from all assigned projects, known as the Value Creation Index (VCI).
• Ensure the development, implementation, and effectiveness of Work Measurement systems.
• Assess warehouse flow, conduct zoning and slotting evaluations, and perform profile analyses.
• Pursue continuous improvement of the Kenco Operating System (O/S).
• Conduct process observations, time-motion studies, line balancing, one-piece flow simulation analysis, zoning/slotting, profile analysis, takt time methodologies, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process mapping, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Process Capability and performance (Cp/Cpk), exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, process improvement techniques, waste analysis (Value Added vs Non-Value Added activities, VA-NVA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Control Charting, and Control Planning.
• Gather customer input to establish project priorities, set goals and objectives, and receive feedback on performance.
• Align the organization with lean principles and facilitate the establishment of lean systems across all areas through Hoshin planning activities.
• Ensure the appropriate tools are employed to address the most critical issues impacting customer satisfaction, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Apply lean and six sigma methodologies to minimize waste and variability within operations.
• Comprehend solutions design, financial models, and contract pricing.
• Draft business requirement documents and assist with Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Logistics Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of practical experience in a distribution environment (or 3PL), or a Master’s degree with 3-5 years of experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is mandatory.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is essential.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience with WCS and automation solutions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, C++) is preferred.
• Proven experience in a customer-facing role, establishing expectations and achieving results.
• Demonstrated capability to analyze data effectively to identify trends, performance results, and areas for improvement.
