Senior Incident Response Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee incident response initiatives

• Innovate and apply novel techniques to detect malicious actors within extensive data sets

• Collaborate with external legal counsel to perform intrusion investigations

• Conduct host and/or network-based forensic examinations on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems

• Execute fundamental malware analysis

• Generate high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings for customer management, regulatory bodies, and legal advisors

• Exhibit industry thought leadership through blog contributions, CrowdCasts, and various public speaking engagements

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in one or more areas: team leadership within a matrixed consulting framework; incident response investigations; computer forensic analysis; network forensic analysis; reverse engineering; incident remediation; network operations and architecture/engineering; cloud-based incident response; client communications

• Proven experience in conducting or overseeing incident response investigations related to targeted threats, including Advanced Persistent Threats, Organized Crime, and Hacktivism

• Proficient in network protocols and network analysis tools such as Bro/Zeek or Suricata

• Capable of analyzing related network logs

• Understanding of both static and dynamic malware analysis

• Strong grasp of targeted attacks and ability to devise tailored tactical and strategic remediation strategies

• In-depth knowledge of secure network architecture and a background in network operations

• Familiarity with incident response methodologies for AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Exceptional ability to convey both executive-level and detailed findings to clients

• Competent in completing technical assignments independently

• Eagerness to enhance both technical and interpersonal skills

• Strong project management capabilities

• Active contributor and thought leader within the incident response sector

• Ability to cultivate a positive work atmosphere and attitude

• Willingness to travel on short notice, up to 30% of the time

• Demonstrated experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, enhance efficiency, and drive business success

• BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or a related discipline; candidates without a degree but with applicable work experience and/or training will be considered

• Must periodically pass alcohol and/or drug tests throughout employment

• Must have eligibility to work in the United States, as specified by the U.S.-specific role and E-Verify participation
