Senior Implementation Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead structured discovery workshops with client operational user groups to gather, document, and confirm functional requirements across all modules of the EAM platform.

• Draft User Requirements (UR) memoranda that capture validated requirements, configuration choices, and client-approved scope; ensure requirements traceability throughout each engagement.

• Analyze current and future business processes; create Visio workflow diagrams that document agreed-upon processes for client review and approval.

• Design and facilitate configuration workshops for each platform module; configure asset hierarchies, work order management, preventive maintenance schedules, inspection forms, inventory structures, and role-based security models.

• Offer best practice consulting during the configuration process, collaborating with the integrations team on applicable requirements.

• Conduct UAT sessions with client user groups; manage the issue log through triage, resolution, retesting, and formal closure.

• Guide clients through data migration and completion of configuration templates; review submitted data for errors and inconsistencies; coordinate with the data migration team to ensure it aligns with system requirements.

• Support end-user and administrator training readiness in conjunction with the Education team; ensure the configured environment is stable and documented before training begins.

• Provide hands-on functional support during the go-live transition; monitor and address post-go-live issues; create comprehensive handoff documentation at the conclusion of the engagement.

• Build trusted advisory relationships with client functional leads and operational managers; collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure functional deliverables are in line with project scope, schedule, and quality expectations.

• Participate in lessons learned reviews and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of configuration standards, workshop facilitation methods, and UAT frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Management Information Systems, Engineering, Environmental Science/Management, Business Administration/Management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

• 4+ years of practical experience as a functional consultant, implementation consultant, or senior business analyst on enterprise B2B/SaaS implementations with direct responsibility for gathering requirements, developing workflows, configuring software, and facilitating UAT.

• Proven experience with EAM, CMMS, or similar operational technology platforms; familiarity with NEXGEN, IBM Maximo, HxGN/Infor EAM, Cityworks, Accela, or Brightly is a significant advantage.

• Direct operational or technical experience in utilities (water/wastewater), public works, or facilities management is strongly preferred, along with a working knowledge of maintenance management and asset lifecycle practices.

• Demonstrated success in leading structured requirements workshops and facilitating business process discussions with cross-functional stakeholder groups.

• Experience in drafting formal functional documentation: requirements specifications, process workflow diagrams, configuration design records, UAT plans, and handoff documentation.

• Familiarity with data migration processes, including client data review, field mapping concepts, and data quality validation before system loading.

• Working knowledge of integration contexts common in EAM implementations (GIS, SCADA, LIMS, AMI/AMR, ERP/financial) as they relate to functional configuration and workflow design.

• Familiarity with asset management frameworks relevant to utilities and public sector clients is preferred.

• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites across the US up to approximately 20% of the time.
