Principal Implementation Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead extensive or highly complex implementations from the planning phase to stabilization.

• Develop the implementation strategy, milestones, and governance frameworks.

• Supervise configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.

• Ensure that implementations are completed on schedule, within the defined scope, and adhere to quality standards.

• Anticipate and address delivery challenges, interdependencies, and risks.

• Act as the main resource for project personnel on domain knowledge, software, and implementation expertise.

• Provide support and guidance to the primary implementation lead and act as an escalation point for client stakeholders.

• Foster relationships with client leadership, administrators, and technical teams.

• Update executive and operational audiences on implementation progress, risks, decisions, and trade-offs.

• Ensure alignment of implementation activities with organizational goals, constraints, and success metrics.

• Guide the configuration of solutions, integrations, and data considerations.

• Confirm that implemented solutions meet approved requirements and operational models.

• Collaborate with technical architects, engineers, and vendors to address complex implementation challenges.

• Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and compatible with long-term operational needs.

• Guarantee that implementations comply with privacy, security, accessibility, and records management standards.

• Facilitate formal review, approval, and acceptance processes.

• Maintain documentation and implementation records that are ready for audit.

• Identify delivery risks and create mitigation strategies aligned with governance standards.

• Mentor and guide staff involved in implementation delivery.

• Evaluate and enhance implementation deliverables and documentation.

• Assist with capacity planning, workload balancing, and delivery standards.

• Lead the development of implementation methodologies, templates, and best practices.

• Support readiness for go-live, deployment, and stabilization post-deployment.

• Ensure a smooth transition to operational, support, or customer success teams.

• Identify areas for improvement and lessons learned after implementation.

• Document and execute improvement initiatives.

• Experienced-level role; minimum experience classified as 'Experienced.'

• Technical and functional leadership in managing complex implementations.

• Proficiency in solution configuration, integrations, testing, deployment, and operational transition.

• Ability to oversee implementation strategy, milestones, governance, risks, and interdependencies.

• Capability to ensure adherence to privacy, security, accessibility, and records management standards.

• Skill in communicating effectively with executive, operational, client, technical, and vendor stakeholders.

• Competence in mentoring implementation staff and refining methodologies, templates, documentation, and best practices.

• Ability to assist with go-live readiness, stabilization, and operational handoff.
