Planning Implementation Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Successfully implement Empyrean's Budgeting and Planning solution from the initiation of projects through to their go-live stage.

• Convert clients' objectives related to budgeting, forecasting, and planning into effective and sustainable implementation strategies.

• Set up planning models, driver-based assumptions, and forecasting logic for financial planning segments.

• Ensure that client planning and forecasting data is thorough, reconciled, and dependable.

• Facilitate clients in generating budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.

• Educate clients to independently manage the solution and create reports.

• Provide guidance to clients on best practices in data management, reporting, and financial planning and analysis.

• Act as a liaison between client users and Empyrean's product management team.

• Enhance and apply AI-assisted tools alongside repeatable delivery processes.

• Protect sensitive customer information by adhering to relevant policies and approved transmission channels.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent experience.

• Background in banking, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, or financial technology.

• Comprehensive understanding of the banking sector, accounting principles, and financial statements.

• Proficient in Excel with experience handling large datasets.

• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong planning and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with business intelligence software such as Tableau or Power BI.

• Ability to adhere to and enhance structured processes.

• Proven literacy in AI within a professional setting.

• Sound judgment regarding the application of AI, particularly regarding data management and confidentiality issues.

• Preferred: Knowledge of bank financial planning concepts, including net interest margin forecasting, non-interest income and expense modeling, and capital and payroll planning.

• Preferred: Understanding of a bank's balance sheet and loan payment calculations.

• Preferred: Awareness of fixed-income cash flow calculations and fixed-income mathematics.

• Preferred: Experience in implementing planning or FP&A solutions within a financial institution.

• Preferred: Background in financial data management, ETL tools, and Microsoft Power Query.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SQL or other data analysis tools.

• Preferred: Previous experience in consulting, implementation, or customer success.

• Preferred: Experience in developing or enhancing repeatable, AI-assisted workflows.
