This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
β’ Manage and resolve complex employee exits independently across various international jurisdictions.
β’ Provide guidance to clients on termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes.
β’ Lead consultations on workforce reductions, administrative hearings, negotiations on separations and settlements, and termination outcome meetings.
β’ Negotiate and influence positive results in intricate termination scenarios.
β’ Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including payroll, legal counsel, government agencies, and trade unions.
β’ Draft, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documentation.
β’ Ensure employee records are maintained in accordance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
β’ Handle offboarding processes using Remoteβs internal HRIS platform.
β’ Offer first-level Employee Relations support and advice on workplace issues.
β’ Evaluate workplace concerns, identify relevant regulations, and suggest suitable approaches.
β’ Advise clients on progressive discipline, documentation necessities, and challenging workplace situations.
β’ Monitor and track ongoing employee relations cases.
β’ Act as a subject-matter expert in offboarding and first-level employee relations matters.
β’ Mentor and support junior team members.
β’ Propel process enhancements, automation, product innovation, and improvements in customer and employee experiences.
β’ Report directly to the Manager of Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions.
β’ Proven experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with comprehensive HR skills and exposure to the employee lifecycle.
β’ Demonstrated ability to manage voluntary and involuntary exits with sensitivity, care, and legal compliance.
β’ Experience in providing HR advice and insights on employment laws and regulations across different jurisdictions.
β’ Familiarity with employee relations principles, progressive discipline strategies, and fundamentals of workplace investigations.
β’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments effectively.
β’ Proficient in analyzing complex HR challenges, researching solutions, and turning findings into practical team resources.
β’ Skillful in communicating recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in uncertain and unfamiliar situations.
β’ Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
β’ Ability to independently steer difficult discussions toward favorable outcomes.
β’ Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English at a business level.
β’ Aptitude for process innovation, optimization, automation, and the implementation of best practices.
β’ Strong operational efficiency with an emphasis on record-keeping and data integrity.
β’ Tech-savvy and adaptable to evolving systems and asynchronous collaboration tools.
β’ Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced, international, asynchronous remote environment.
β’ Willingness to adjust working hours as necessary.
β’ Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and self-motivation.
β’ Proficient in automation and AI capabilities, with fluency in AI applications.
β’ Tertiary qualifications in HR, labor relations, or employment law are considered advantageous (optional).
