This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Create and develop integration applications utilizing Integration Gateway to manage bi-directional data flows between Guidewire systems and both internal and external platforms.
• Design, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain configurations and integrations for Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to support essential business operations while adhering to best practices, Cloud Assurance, and security protocols.
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to comprehend configuration and integration needs and to devise optimal solutions.
• Implement event-driven architectures using App Events (webhooks/event streams) to facilitate near real-time data transmission to downstream systems.
• Assess business needs and craft solutions that fulfill specified technical, functional, and Guidewire coding and architectural guidelines.
• Securely expose and consume Cloud APIs (REST/JSON) through OAuth2, while implementing API governance measures, including rate limits, schema versioning, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Expose and extend Integration views, particularly for utilization in AppEvents.
• Design Batch Processes and Workqueues to efficiently handle large data volumes with optimal performance.
• Adapt the data model and configure UI components, including screen layouts, wizards, forms, ratings, and workflows to align with changing business requirements.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure effective testing and validation of integration components, and develop GUnit/JUnit tests to rigorously evaluate business logic.
• Generate and maintain technical design documents, specifications, and interface catalogs to facilitate knowledge sharing and long-term sustainability.
• Offer support for production challenges related to Guidewire PolicyCenter systems and integrations, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Investigate and quickly resolve configuration and integration issues to uphold system stability and performance.
• Execute both minor and major updates to Guidewire software, ensuring compatibility, performance, and compliance with best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and Guidewire certifications, continuously enhancing your role profile to align with ongoing innovations within our organization and the sector.
• Engage in scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies to promote alignment and continuous delivery throughout the development lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, accompanied by 4+ years of Guidewire development and integration experience.
• The candidate must possess ACE level certification in Guidewire Cloud Integration within two releases of the latest version.
• Expertise in Java and GOSU, showcasing strong object-oriented design and development capabilities.
• Proven experience in developing configurations and integrations for Guidewire PolicyCenter, delivering comprehensive support for the Guidewire ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud technologies, including Integration Gateway, App Events, Integration Views, and Cloud APIs (REST/JSON).
• In-depth understanding of API security and governance, including OAuth2, schema versioning, rate limiting, and scalable design principles.
• Strong foundation in relational databases, advanced SQL, and JSON processing.
• Experience with event-driven and messaging architectures, including webhooks, pub/sub, queues, DLQs, and AWS services.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, including participation in scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, incorporating automated testing (unit, integration, contract), infrastructure as code (IaC), and release automation to GWCP.
• Knowledge of Guidewire product design, rating, forms, disbursements, invoicing, and commission concepts is advantageous.
