Senior Group Risk Analyst – Internal Loss Event Data Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Deliver a comprehensive range of research, analysis, reporting, monitoring, and/or operational process support within a specified functional area.

• Assist the business by offering expert guidance and advice on various risk-related issues within your assigned area of expertise.

• Provide oversight, commentary, and strategic analysis in relation to team and/or individual initiatives.

• Prepare and submit targeted quarterly data quality (DQ) assessments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and GL verifications.

• Maintain the DQ submission log each quarter to guarantee timely submissions and completion of attestations in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Engage in cross-training with the eventual goal of independently conducting reviews in the future.

• Drive continuous improvement and maturation of existing processes as necessary.

• Acquire and uphold knowledge of relevant procedures, policies, and job aids.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or Forensic Accounting at major financial institutions.

• Strong preference for experience with Internal Loss Event Data (ILED).

• Capability to work with complex data sets that involve manual processing.

• Understanding of the Regulatory Environment (Basel) and experience in the Financial Services Industry is preferred.

• Bachelor’s/MS/MBA degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Analytics, or related fields.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient knowledge of risk management, programs, policies, practices, and reporting relevant to the business supported and/or area of discipline.

• Familiarity and experience with various programming tools.

• Knowledge of the risk management environment, standards, regulations, and mitigation strategies.

• Awareness of current and emerging competitor and market trends.

• Ability to lead, plan, implement, and assess program/project activities to ensure successful completion of initiatives.

• Advanced skills in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships.

• Capability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently.

• Sound judgment in decision-making.

• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize tasks while meeting various deadlines.

• Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.
