Senior Golang Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product managers and technology teams to comprehend roadmap priorities and develop product features that meet customer needs.

• Utilize advanced expertise in data structures, data modeling, and design, along with common software design patterns, emphasizing microservice architecture.

• Clearly communicate design and architectural trade-offs while applying software design patterns to efficiently tackle complex engineering challenges.

• Direct design and implementation efforts grounded in sound engineering principles and best practices, with a focus on testability, maintainability, and scalability.

• Deliver comprehensive project designs and estimates that align with business and technology strategy requirements during project scoping stages.

• Mentor fellow engineers to foster sound technical choices and assist in developing effective software engineering practices, particularly in adopting formal testing methods.

• Encourage positive software engineering practices, including clean code principles, security, balancing technical debt, test-driven development (TDD), and early end-to-end testing.

• Take ownership of diagnosing and resolving intricate system technical issues and code defects.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership to establish the technical roadmap and promote innovation.

• Identify and partner with SRE to implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability in the software delivery process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in developing and maintaining software using Go or other compiled programming languages.

• Experience in implementing microservice architecture and applying software design patterns to ensure maintainability and scalability.

• Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and system design for cloud-based applications.

• Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues within distributed computing environments.

• Ability to mentor engineers and advocate for effective software engineering practices, including formal testing and adherence to clean code principles.
