This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and execute attitude control architectures and algorithms within an embedded C++ framework.
• Establish requirements for ACS algorithms, hardware, and associated systems, including the creation of a roadmap that opens up new customer opportunities.
• Conduct analysis and simulation of performance tailored to specific missions.
• Assist in monitoring performance trends and resolving anomalies in on-orbit systems, which includes on-call responsibilities.
• Aid in the planning, execution, and validation of software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field, along with 5+ years of professional experience, OR extensive hands-on experience with GNC analysis and design.
• Proficient in C++ programming.
• Solid understanding of control and optimization theory.
• Experience with common LEO platform attitude actuators and sensors, such as reaction wheels, magnetorquers, gyroscopes, star trackers, and magnetometers.
• Familiarity with popular numerical programming environments (Python, Julia, MATLAB).
• Proven experience in designing, analyzing, and implementing ADCS/GNC subsystems for spacecraft.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination abilities.
