This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement extensive product strategies that cover both short-term (1–3 years) and long-term (5–10 years) objectives.
• Oversee the introduction of new products (NPI) and manage the lifecycle of the product portfolio.
• Ensure alignment of product vision and roadmap with changing market conditions.
• Create and execute go-to-market strategies for new offerings.
• Evaluate industry requirements, trends, shifts, government regulations, and more.
• Foster ownership and excellence in execution to meet and surpass project timelines and deliverables.
• Manage daily operations of the product line.
• Lead and mentor the product management team.
• Work in conjunction with marketing to establish go-to-market strategies and define the product's value proposition.
• Direct the competitive intelligence process and ensure that actionable insights are disseminated across commercial teams.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline is required.
• An MBA is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in food safety is necessary.
• A minimum of 3 years in relevant commercial roles in product management or strategic product marketing within a B2B context.
• At least 3 years of practical experience with applied molecular technologies such as qPCR and/or NGS.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food safety sector.
• Alternatively, at least 3 years of leadership experience in strategy or execution in a technical, marketing, or commercially focused role within the life sciences industry.
• Proven expertise in managing the entire product lifecycle.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
• Experience with PowerBI is a plus.
• The position may require up to 20% travel, both domestically and internationally.
