This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and execute a strategic vision for global payroll operations that aligns with the organization’s growth goals.
• Oversee payroll operations for a large, multi-national workforce, focusing primarily on payroll processes in the U.S. and Canada.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five direct reports while enhancing organizational capability and payroll expertise.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing accuracy, compliance, efficiency, automation, and scalability.
• Build strong relationships with Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Tax, and business leadership teams.
• Influence stakeholders across all organizational levels to promote payroll-related initiatives and process enhancements.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors and service providers, ensuring that performance expectations and service level agreements are fulfilled.
• Ensure adherence to payroll compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations.
• Assess and optimize payroll systems, processes, and controls to accommodate a growing global workforce.
• Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to facilitate payroll technology improvements, integrations, and system rollouts.
• Guarantee timely and precise payroll processing while upholding strong internal controls and audit readiness.
• Provide leadership and direction during organizational shifts, acquisitions, integrations, and workforce expansions.
• A Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience in supporting large, complex organizations.
• Significant experience in managing U.S. and Canadian payroll operations.
• Experience in supporting global payroll operations outside of the U.S. and Canada.
• Willingness to travel to the corporate office 10-12 times per year.
• Must be located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone or be open to relocation.
• Proven track record in leading payroll teams and developing talent.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance, taxation, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
• Experience with major U.S. payroll software platforms and service providers.
• Established ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Strong vendor management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
