Senior GL Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for general ledger accounts.

• Collaborate with FP&A, Payroll, PeopleOps, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information.

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Analyze financial results and investigate any variances and discrepancies.

• Conduct flux and variance analyses utilizing data analytics and AI-enabled tools.

• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhancements to internal controls.

• Support external audits, special projects, system implementations, and various accounting initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a related role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.

• Practical experience with ERP systems; NetSuite is preferred.

• Strong critical thinking skills with a proven ability to identify discrepancies and implement process improvements.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to providing audit-ready support.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight month-end deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
