• Within Tekmetric's rapidly expanding organization, the Senior General Ledger Accountant position will play a crucial role in multi-entity accounting and reporting.
• You will take charge of essential aspects of the month-end close and general ledger, ensuring precision, scalability, and ongoing enhancement in a multi-entity SaaS setting.
• This position extends beyond mere execution; you will actively pinpoint issues, refine processes, and elevate team operations.
• You will report to the Head of Accounting.
• Assume responsibility for critical components of the month-end close, guaranteeing timely, accurate, and audit-ready financials.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks in the closing process and spearhead improvements to minimize cycle time and enhance visibility.
• Ensure accurate cutoff, accruals, and completeness of financial data.
• Uphold the integrity of the general ledger through meticulous account analysis and review.
• Reconcile intricate accounts, including intercompany and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies independently, escalating issues only when necessary.
• Manage multi-entity accounting, encompassing intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting.
• Ensure consistency in accounting practices and accuracy across all entities.
• Develop a thorough understanding of business operations to guarantee precise accruals and financial reporting.
• Take ownership of key accrual areas (such as prepaids and expenses) and ensure proper recognition and documentation.
• Collaborate with FP&A to align financials with forecasts and clarify variances through insightful flux analysis.
• Translate financial results into clear insights that aid in business decision-making.
• Actively identify inefficiencies and implement scalable process enhancements.
• Utilize NetSuite and FloQast to automate workflows, improve reporting, and enhance close visibility.
• Assist in defining and standardizing processes as the organization continues to grow.
• Take charge of audit support preparation, including reconciliations and documentation.
• Participate in special projects such as M&A integrations, system implementations, and process redesign.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on month-end close.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and the flow of financial statements.
• Demonstrated experience in multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
• High attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-starter mentality – able to work independently, identify priorities, and drive tasks forward without direction.
• Proactive problem-solving approach with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to evolving processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Systems-oriented with a desire to maximize the use of tools and automate processes.
• Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and Excel (including lookups, pivots, data analysis, and reconciliations).
