• Taking responsibility for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring the general ledger's accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, prepayments, reclassifications, and intercompany transactions.
• Managing bank and key balance sheet reconciliations, thoroughly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Ensuring that expenses and revenues are recorded in the appropriate periods and comply with accounting standards.
• Overseeing and facilitating financial data imports and exports between ERP systems and other financial platforms.
• Assisting with VAT and tax reporting activities, including reviews, accuracy checks, and posting correctness.
• Ensuring conformity with internal accounting policies, controls, and regulatory guidelines.
• Aiding internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and necessary documentation.
• Serving as a subject matter expert on GL-related matters, providing guidance to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial stakeholders.
• Recognizing opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and operational efficiency within accounting functions.
• Collaborating closely with Finance, Payroll, Tax, Systems, and other cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in a General Ledger or Financial Accounting position, with senior-level responsibilities.
• Proven ability to manage balance sheet areas and operate within a structured closing framework.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices (IFRS or local GAAP).
• Practical experience with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a significant advantage).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to work confidently with large data sets.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working autonomously while engaging with a global, distributed team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
• Experience in a SaaS, technology, or international setting is advantageous.
