This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate with the design team to develop engaging, innovative games featuring rich systems and functionalities.
• Communicate regularly with external partners involved in the project.
• Monitor the health of the project and plan for future feature developments.
• Create clear and informative game design documents detailing new features and systems.
• Work alongside the design team to bring the project's creative vision to life.
• Implement content within the engine, including level design, adhering to game design specifications.
• Conduct research, analysis, and enhancements of features and content based on trends and user feedback.
• Develop simple, elegant solutions that prioritize the player experience.
• Review and oversee development processes to ensure high-quality execution of features and content.
• Influence design decisions for major brand games as well as original intellectual property.
• Provide expert design across all facets of game development.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in game design.
• Proven track record of working on multiple projects throughout all phases of game development, from concept to implementation, user testing, and beyond.
• Comprehensive understanding of industry practices in the gaming sector.
• A genuine passion for gaming.
• Capability to ensure high-quality feature and content execution through development supervision and review.
• Skill in generating ideas and effectively pitching designs.
• Ability to achieve results through rapid prototyping and iterative development techniques.
• Experience in designing, prototyping, and developing levels within the engine.
• Significant hands-on experience with the Unity engine.
• Strong communication skills.
• Capacity to meet deadlines while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent documentation abilities, including creating mock-ups, flow charts, prototypes, or similar materials.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA.
• Strong interpersonal skills for managing relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Excellent collaboration skills, open to constructive feedback.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Proactive in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Talent for generating innovative concepts, ideas, and gameplay mechanics.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of game systems and content across various genres and platforms.
• Must reside in the UK.
• Must possess pre-existing Right to Work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
