Senior Fund Analyst – Financial Reporting, Taxation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Supervise the daily operations of fund accounting, including the preparation and examination of financial statements and reports.

• Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement and professional growth.

• Ensure the timely reconciliation of cash, positions, and various transactional data, proactively identifying and addressing discrepancies as they occur.

• Work in partnership with internal and external auditors to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

• Develop and uphold strong accounting policies and procedures that improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance.

• Assist in creating automated solutions to enhance accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

• Deliver valuable financial analysis and reporting to senior management, emphasizing key metrics and trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in fund accounting and taxation, ideally in an asset management or financial services setting.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP, IFRS, and the Canadian Income Tax Act.

• Expertise in financial software and reporting tools, along with advanced skills in Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to work autonomously.
