Senior Fund Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and ensure precision in essential reporting, which includes monthly and annual financial statements, tax compliance, and treasury management across various asset classes and regions.

• Assist with the review of tax compliance reporting.

• Act as the main point of contact for service providers, making certain that policies and internal control standards are adhered to.

• Manage and supervise daily and monthly reconciliations among internal records, prime brokers, counterparties, banks, and the fund administrator.

• Oversee the internal accounting system; generate and evaluate daily and monthly trading P&L reports, AUM reports, and confirm settlement activities across trading strategies.

• Guide and support junior Fund Accountants within the team.

• Propel process enhancement and automation initiatives within the fund accounting function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in hedge funds, public accounting for asset management, or as a fund administrator.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and its relevance to investment management funds.

• Proficiency in utilizing enterprise-level accounting software (VPM, Geneva, Arcesium).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Proven experience in automating manual processes (preferred).

• Familiarity with or a desire to gain experience in Python or SQL (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.

• Authorization to work in the United States.
