Senior Fullstack PHP Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bolivia.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, and maintain web applications and backend services.

• Develop responsive and maintainable user interfaces utilizing React.js and JavaScript.

• Enhance and integrate backend services with PHP and Symfony.

• Design, construct, and utilize APIs for application functionality and system integrations.

• Work collaboratively with developers, technical leads, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Engage in technical discussions, solution design, and code reviews.

• Diagnose application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective, sustainable solutions.

• Produce clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Contribute to technical estimations and development planning processes.

• Recognize and implement enhancements to application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional software development experience at a senior engineering level.

• Strong expertise in PHP and Symfony.

• Proficient hands-on experience with React.js, JavaScript, and contemporary web development practices.

• Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs and web services.

• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and MySQL.

• Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and collaborative development practices.

• Proven experience in applying software engineering best practices and writing maintainable code.

• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving.

• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and take ownership of deliverables.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools.

• Nice to have: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and Docker or containerized environments.

• Nice to have: Experience with Agile methodologies and front-end testing frameworks.
