Senior Fullstack Engineer, Rust, Typescript, Distributed Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• We are seeking to hire 1–2 engineers to contribute to Clairvo, an AI-driven calling platform developed within Dental Media Corp.

• This role does not involve a standard SaaS CRUD application.

• Clairvo operates as a real-time telephony system:

• - We connect with real individuals via PSTN.

• - Facilitate calls through LiveKit.

• - Apply machine learning to live audio (including transcription, scoring, and copilots).

• You will engage with systems where live calls occur, and any failures are critical.

• Your work will involve telephony and distributed state management.

• You will allocate your time to:

• - A Rust workspace (Axum, Tokio, SQLx).

• - Event-driven architectures (Redis streams).

• - Postgres (Aurora).

• - Twilio SIP trunking, VoIP, and LiveKit room management.

• - A custom power-dialer kernel (handling both parallel and sequential state machines).

• - Machine learning integrations (OpenAI, Bedrock, SageMaker, AssemblyAI).

• Agents will be on the phone while we deploy new features.

• We are a compact team that values high ownership, adopts a spec/docs-first approach, and prioritizes rapid movement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Rust and/or Typescript.

• Experience in developing backend or fullstack systems in a production environment.

• A solid understanding of Postgres (you are familiar with concepts such as lock waits).

• Comfortable working with concurrency, asynchronous systems, and managing partial failures.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot real-world production issues.

• You should be at ease working with systems that:

• - Are event-driven.

• - Require inter-service coordination.

• - May fail in non-obvious manners.

• This position is not focused on frontend development or CRUD-only tasks.

• Preferred qualifications:

• - Experience with WebRTC, SIP, or VoIP.

• - Familiarity with AWS (EKS, ECS, Terraform).

• - Experience with React (managing features from start to finish).

• Prior telephony experience is not required, but a willingness to learn quickly is essential.
