Senior Fullstack Engineer – PHP/Laravel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain features across the entire stack: React/Next.js, NestJS middleware, and PHP Laravel services

• Assist in migrating the legacy Node.js API Gateway to the new NestJS-based framework

• Establish and implement scalable architectural patterns for both backend services and frontend components

• Integrate and utilize AI-driven tools to enhance development and facilitate internal workflows

• Engage collaboratively in a remote-first setting

• Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code

• Leverage travel and hospitality domain expertise to guide product decisions, data models, and integrations

• Participate in UX/UI discussions where technical limitations meet user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in full-stack development

• Proficiency in travel technology (online booking systems, group travel, eCommerce)

• Extensive experience in developing and maintaining modular PHP Laravel applications

• Practical experience with Livewire and Filament

• Strong command of MySQL, including writing migrations and optimizing query performance

• Experience in integrating external hotel availability providers such as HBSI, Expedia, or similar travel industry APIs

• Comfortable working in Docker-based local development environments

• Familiarity with AWS services including ECS, RDS, S3, and deployment pipelines

• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining REST APIs

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using tools such as Pest and/or PHPUnit

• Confident in diagnosing and resolving production incidents, system failures, and performance challenges

• Provide support for frontend development using React and Tailwind CSS

• Proficient with Git/GitHub, including commits, branches, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows

• Familiar with agile development practices, debugging, testing, and cross-functional collaboration

• Inquisitive learner who enjoys enhancing systems, exploring new technologies, and sharing ideas and best practices.
