Senior Fullstack Developer – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Implement new product features and provide support for existing ones.

• Develop frontend platform components utilized across our internal and external products, as well as e-commerce storefronts like Shopify and Salesforce.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate product designs (Figma) into robust, accessible, and high-performance UI components.

• Take ownership of frontend architecture decisions, maintain code quality standards alongside other senior engineers, and mentor teammates through code reviews.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services primarily using Golang and Node.js.

• Have a solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), CI/CD, and be capable of deploying code and infrastructure components.

• Work with data stores such as PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, and Bigtable.

• Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs.

• Over 6 years of experience in building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems.

• AI-first development approach — you view AI (e.g., Claude) as your primary engineering surface, orchestrating, reviewing, and deploying through it instead of writing code manually. You possess a genuine curiosity about your own AI workflow, continually experimenting, refining, and staying on the cutting edge of what these tools can achieve, while also helping the team by sharing successful practices.

• Experience in developing consumer-facing applications using frontend frameworks such as React (preferred), Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember.

• Proficiency in building well-designed software with Node.js or Golang.

• Experience in developing consumer-facing applications that consume various APIs from a microservices backend system.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.

• Knowledge of the full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals.

• Strong emphasis on code quality and engagement in code reviews.

• Experience in mentoring fellow engineers.

• Previous startup experience is highly preferred, emphasizing a growth and product engineering mindset.
