Senior Fullstack Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the core functionalities of MAIA's product.

• Concentrate on backend and AI infrastructure, including RAG pipelines and LLM integrations.

• Execute frontend modifications necessary to deliver features comprehensively.

• Design, develop, and deploy features from initial discovery to production launch.

• Establish evaluation methods for LLM features and apply debugging techniques for non-deterministic systems.

• Work collaboratively with Product, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient backend engineering skills in TypeScript or another strongly typed programming language (Go, Java, Rust).

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying production REST APIs.

• Strong SQL expertise, preferably with PostgreSQL in a production environment.

• Practical experience in developing or managing LLM applications.

• Commercial experience with at least one relevant LLM framework and one vector database.

• Hands-on experience in debugging production systems utilizing observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Sentry).

• Solid understanding of React fundamentals and the capability to maintain frontend components.

• Foundational knowledge of cloud and DevOps concepts.

• Ability to adhere to secure development best practices.

• Proficient in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
