Senior Fullstack AI Applied Engineer – React, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain contemporary web applications that encompass both frontend and backend systems.

• Participate in architectural decisions, ensuring that solutions align with standards for performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.

• Incorporate AI coding assistants into everyday workflows.

• Utilize AI for design, implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation tasks.

• Establish guardrails and validation processes to verify that AI-generated code adheres to production-readiness criteria.

• Contribute to the team's overarching engineering practices for agentic software development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Relevant expertise with React and Node.js frameworks.

• Proven history of delivering software throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle.

• Experience in developing production-quality software applications.

• Background in working within Agile product development teams.

• Demonstrated utilization of AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) in professional settings.

• Experience applying AI for code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and software design.

• Familiarity with agentic development workflows and AI-enhanced engineering tools.

• Experience in creating and maintaining prompts, workflows, skills, or agent instructions as reusable engineering resources.

• Ability to critically assess and validate outputs generated by AI.

• Understanding of validation methodologies for AI-assisted development, including testing, specification-based verification, and human-in-the-loop review processes.

• Excellent communication and technical collaboration abilities.

• Proficiency in English (mandatory).
