Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee significant initiatives for the team from the discovery phase through design, development, and implementation, including catalog-scale search previews and the introduction of new content modalities.

• Engage directly with the partnerships, solutions, and sales teams that utilize your creations; grasp the business context behind each request and relay that perspective back to the team's priorities.

• Design intricate workflows and data-rich interfaces independently: crafting information hierarchies, interaction patterns, and accommodating every possible screen state.

• Develop the workflows that our partnerships and solutions teams rely on daily, including sample creation, customer access management, and delivery exports.

• Create the customer-facing experience for browsing, streaming, and assessing multimodal samples.

• Ensure that large multimodal datasets are seamlessly accessible in a browser: incorporating streaming playback, previews, lazy loading, and large-scale exports.

• Construct user interfaces that leverage embedding-based search capabilities, enabling users to locate specific clips within vast catalogs.

• Determine the execution context for processes—whether they run client-side, in a route handler, or via a backend service—while collaborating with our data teams when necessary.

• Manage sensitive information appropriately: implementing scoped access, secure share links, and PHI-aware routes.

• Establish quality standards within the squad: emphasizing testing, performance, design consistency, and attention to UX detail.

• Facilitate design discussions, review code, and assist other engineers in overcoming obstacles.

• Transform frequently repeated UI and workflow patterns into reusable components within our shared design system.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing production web applications that serve real users.

• Extensive experience with TypeScript and React, along with Next.js or a similar full-stack framework in a production environment.

• Proven track record of delivering user-facing features from start to finish: encompassing UI, API, data models, and testing.

• Strong design sensibility: capable of independently designing complex workflows, maintaining high standards for visual and interaction details, and articulating the rationale behind UI decisions.

• Solid understanding of backend principles: including API design, Postgres, authentication, permission modeling, and cloud services (we utilize AWS).

• Experience in creating data-intensive or media-rich interfaces while ensuring their performance: including streaming, pagination, caching, and optimization of loading strategies.

• Direct engagement with users of your creations, allowing their feedback to inform your development process.

• Detail-oriented approach without sacrificing speed, coupled with a proactive mindset.
