Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee both front-end and back-end development for Blackpoint Cyber’s cybersecurity solutions.

• Contribute significantly to the critical business functions of the cybersecurity platform.

• Design and construct robust, scalable software along with exceptional user experiences.

• Lead and manage projects utilizing TypeScript, Golang, React, and Node.js services deployed on Kubernetes.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for code generation, review, and testing processes.

• Implement design and architectural expertise, adhering to best-practice design patterns.

• Enhance performance, scalability, and resilience of the systems.

• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams.

• Mentor fellow engineers and guide them through complex projects.

• Engage with leadership to outline technical solutions, align them with business goals, and provide updates on progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of professional experience in full-stack development.

• Proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance systems in dynamic, enterprise-level settings.

• Strong backend development proficiency with Node.js and Golang.

• Experience in constructing and managing microservices architectures on Kubernetes.

• Expertise in React and TypeScript.

• Knowledge of modern front-end architecture, design patterns, and industry best practices.

• Proficient in designing and utilizing REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs.

• Capable of architecting full-stack solutions while balancing performance and scalability from the database layer to the user interface.

• Solid understanding of database design, performance optimization, and indexing across SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud components such as storage, messaging, logging, and networking.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or similar tools.

• In-depth knowledge of security best practices, including API security, sensitive data management, and authentication/authorization using OAuth and JWT.

• Experience in an Agile environment, including leading sprint planning and dissecting large projects.

• Open to adopting AI-assisted development tools.

• Strong interest in working within a fast-paced startup environment with multiple daily releases.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Nice to have: experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Kafka and Prometheus.

• Nice to have: experience with Docker Swarm or Amazon ECS.

• Nice to have: knowledge of internationalization and localization frameworks.

• Must be authorized to work in Canada without restrictions.
