Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, AI Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver full-stack AI projects from inception to completion utilizing a Ruby on Rails backend and React frontend.

• Design and execute experiments, including A/B testing and AI evaluations, to validate AI functionalities and assess their impact.

• Construct and incorporate AI infrastructure components while optimizing them for performance and reliability during production inference.

• Enhance processes, tools, and systems to transition AI features into production-ready applications.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI research, methodologies, and tools.

• Collaborate closely with Circle's leaders and designers throughout the feature design process.

• Emphasize rapid iteration, experimentation, and learning, while upholding high standards for code quality and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience as a full-stack engineer working on high-traffic production applications.

• Experience addressing scale-related challenges, including query optimization, careful migrations, and resolving performance bottlenecks.

• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and ReactJS.

• Familiar with both frontend and backend development practices.

• Practical production experience in developing AI features such as RAG systems, AI agents, or LLM-driven tools.

• At least one genuine AI use case deployed to production, beyond mere prototypes.

• Capability to design and conduct A/B tests, evaluate outcomes, and iterate swiftly.

• Ability to work independently, take personal responsibility, and collaborate effectively.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and learning new technologies.

• Strong alignment with Circle's values.

• Proficient in English at CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5.
