Senior Full Stack Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for an established bookkeeping software platform.

• Evaluate the existing system architecture, codebase, and business logic.

• Detect issues related to technical, functional, and financial data integrity.

• Design and implement scalable solutions aimed at enhancing system performance, reliability, and usability.

• Prioritize development tasks independently and drive projects with minimal oversight.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of accounting workflows, financial calculations, reports, and outputs.

• Debug, refactor, optimize, and improve the current codebase.

• Create and maintain technical documentation as required.

• Perform thorough testing and validation to ensure software quality and financial data accuracy.

• Prepare the platform for a production-ready state.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-7+ years of professional experience in full stack software development.

• Demonstrated experience managing software projects from planning to deployment.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping workflows, and financial reporting.

• Experience in inheriting, reviewing, and enhancing existing software applications.

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication and project management skills.

• Extensive experience with Docker deployment in both development and production settings.

• Experience in developing or maintaining accounting, bookkeeping, ERP, or financial software platforms.

• Familiarity with reviewing and improving AI-generated codebases.

• Experience in conducting software audits, financial reporting, data validation, and reconciliation processes.

• Ability to set technical direction and make informed architectural decisions.

• Experience working with and optimizing existing or legacy software applications.

• A portfolio, GitHub repository, or examples of completed software projects would be advantageous.

• Ability to quickly comprehend and navigate an unfamiliar codebase.

• Capability to excel in scenarios with incomplete requirements or documentation.

• Proactive mindset with the initiative to take complete ownership of projects with minimal supervision.

• Strong grasp of both software engineering and accounting principles.

• Ability to identify expected system behavior, implement effective solutions, and verify the accuracy of financial outputs.

• Proven history of successfully delivering complex software projects from development to production.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Commitment to developing reliable, scalable, and production-ready software solutions.

• Availability to work with significant overlap during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
