Senior Full Stack Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain web applications throughout the entire technology stack, from backend APIs to interactive frontends.

• Take full ownership of production software throughout its lifecycle, independently managing complex projects from conception to deployment and ongoing support.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams, including product, design, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Develop RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.

• Construct responsive, dynamic front-end applications utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar technologies.

• Architect scalable distributed systems and microservice frameworks.

• Deploy and oversee applications using AWS serverless solutions and associated cloud infrastructure.

• Incorporate AI agents into the development workflow for design, planning, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation, applying engineering judgment to ensure quality and refinement before production release.

• Design, construct, and integrate AI agents and agentic workflows to automate engineering tasks and address product challenges.

• Guide peers through technical leadership and code review processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building backend applications with Python and FastAPI or similar frameworks.

• Extensive knowledge of REST API design and execution.

• More than 3 years of experience in developing and deploying applications using AWS serverless technologies and related cloud infrastructure.

• Proficient in developing front-end applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.

• Proven track record of validating, refining, and fully owning AI-generated designs, code, tests, and documentation prior to deployment.

• Demonstrated experience in an AI-first engineering environment where AI agents are integral to daily development processes.

• Skilled in designing, building, and integrating AI agents or agentic workflows to automate engineering tasks or enhance product features.

• Strong background in cloud computing and DevOps practices.
