Senior Full Stack Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in accordance with specifications and business requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code.

• Transform business requirements and user stories into technical solutions.

• Construct and optimize database objects, including stored procedures, tables, views, and functions.

• Contribute to the design of database architecture and data pipelines.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the frontend, middle-tier API, and backend database.

• Develop and uphold full-stack application features.

• Utilize AI-based coding assistants and agents in practice.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.

• Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality and disseminate knowledge.

• Collaborate with architects, product teams, designers, QA, and fellow developers to define and deliver features.

• Take part in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and refinements.

• Create and sustain technical documentation for code, tools, and system architecture.

• Record design decisions, workflows, and operational procedures.

• Adhere to secure coding practices and organizational security policies.

• Ensure code and systems meet FINRA, SEC, and other pertinent regulations and standards.

• Participate in security reviews and address any identified vulnerabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area (PA, NJ, DE) at the time of application.

• Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer is required.

• Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

• A minimum of 7 years of software development experience is necessary.

• Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, including experience with large codebases, stored procedures, and database objects.

• Experience with JavaScript and current use of Kendo UI.

• Server-side web experience with any modern technology stack.

• Familiarity with Git; the team utilizes GitLab.

• Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud hosting provider.

• Knowledge of cloud-native application architectures, including containers, auto-scaling, and managing multiple concurrent instances (non-singleton).

• Experience in or around finance is advantageous.

• SQL Server performance optimization experience is a plus.

• Experience with data pipelines and ELT is desirable.

• DBA or Microsoft SQL Server certifications are beneficial.
