Senior Full-Stack PHP Developer – Laravel, React/Vue

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain scalable, full-stack web applications utilizing Laravel for the back end and React/Vue for the front end.

• Engage in architectural decisions concerning service design, data modeling, caching, and processing based on queues.

• Create and implement RESTful APIs along with integrations for both internal and external systems.

• Construct reusable Laravel packages and front-end components that can be shared across various projects.

• Refine legacy code, enhance query performance, and boost response times.

• Write automated tests and engage in code reviews alongside efforts to improve CI/CD practices.

• Maintain documentation for technical decisions, APIs, and specifications.

• Work collaboratively with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to define and deliver new features.

• Uphold software development best practices while ensuring timely delivery of product functionalities.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, covering database design, API development, and the React/Vue user interface.

• Construct and scale essential web applications that convert requirements into dependable, maintainable, and high-performing software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience with modern OOP PHP (8.x).

• At least 3 years of practical experience with Laravel.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Laravel ecosystem, including Eloquent, Queues, Jobs, Events, Service Container, Middleware, and Authentication.

• Minimum of 3 years of production experience with React or Vue.

• Proficient in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.

• Experience in designing RESTful APIs, focusing on authentication, validation, and error handling.

• Strong SQL expertise, particularly with MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Experience in schema design, indexing, and optimizing queries.

• Practical experience with Redis and queue-based architectures.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as PHPUnit, Pest, Jest, Vitest, or Playwright.

• Comfortable with Git-based workflows, including pull requests and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience working in AI-assisted development environments (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Nice-to-have skills: Inertia.js, Livewire, Next.js/Nuxt, Tailwind CSS, Docker, AWS, Forge, Vapor, PHPStan, Larastan, Pint, WebSockets, Reverb, RabbitMQ, microservices architecture, event platforms, ticketing systems, Stripe, and PayPal.
