Senior Full Stack Java Engineer, Java, Angular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot new product features from start to finish across the Java backend API layer and Angular frontend.

• Create and sustain RESTful APIs utilizing Java 21 and Spring Boot.

• Collaborate with PostgreSQL, MyBatis, and Liquibase for database management and schema modifications.

• Implement and uphold Redis-based caching techniques for enhanced performance and session management.

• Construct reactive Angular 19 components using RxJS and client-specified UI frameworks.

• Develop unit and end-to-end tests concentrating on essential business logic.

• Leverage AWS S3, ECS, CloudWatch, and Bedrock for storage solutions, deployment, monitoring, and AI integrations.

• Convey feature complexity and changes in scope prior to committing to delivery schedules.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and weekly meetings with clients.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to refine workflows and uphold code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of professional experience in software development.

• Significant backend experience in Java using Spring Boot or a similar framework.

• Strong working knowledge of Java 21 and contemporary Spring Boot practices, including dependency injection, REST controllers, service layers, and configuration management.

• Practical experience with Angular, preferably from version 14 to Angular 19.

• Production experience with RxJS for reactive state and data flows.

• Proficient in SQL, including PostgreSQL, joins, indexing, and basic query concepts.

• Familiarity with MyBatis, Hibernate, or a comparable ORM.

• Understanding of mapped queries compared to direct SQL execution.

• Production experience with Redis for caching or pub/sub patterns.

• Practical experience with AWS services such as S3, ECS, and CloudWatch.

• Strong testing discipline with the capability to write and execute comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests.

• Ability to accurately estimate the complexity of backend features and identify scope changes early.

• Competence in navigating large existing codebases and resolving ambiguities independently.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot.

• Practical experience with Angular 19, RxJS, and TypeScript.

• Regular use of AI tools in everyday development processes.
