Senior Full Stack Engineer – Web, Ecommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Create, test, and deliver high-quality, production-ready code.

• Develop fast, scalable websites and applications utilizing React, Gatsby, and Tailwind CSS.

• Implement API integrations to enhance content generation.

• Establish and uphold a clean and efficient code repository for all production code.

• Design and maintain front-end components using our proprietary design system.

• Ensure websites are accessible, high-performing, SEO/AEO-optimized, and responsive across all devices.

• Collaborate with project managers, web team colleagues, and other stakeholders within Toast as needed.

• Contribute to shaping technical decisions, tools, and best practices within the team.

• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Significant experience (6-8 years) with React and its ecosystem.

• Strong background with Gatsby and its fundamental concepts (e.g., static site generation, GraphQL).

• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and its utility-first methodology.

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Capacity to communicate in a clear and professional manner.

• CMS experience – having integrated website designs with a headless CMS.

• Knowledge of best practices for REST API usage.

• Experience in developing applications for multiple regions and languages.

• Solid understanding of web application security principles and best practices.

• Strong proficiency in Git, along with an understanding of best practices for code repositories.

• Ability to accurately estimate project timelines and adhere to them.

• Expertise in rapid prototyping and technical problem-solving using AI-assisted workflows, ensuring system reliability and test coverage are not compromised.
